In Amar Kaushik's upcoming film, Mahavatar, Vicky Kaushal will play Lord Chiranjeevi Parashurama. On Wednesday, the Stree 2 director announced the news on social media.

An introduction video and two posters for the next movie were posted by the filmmaker. The posters depict a bearded, irate sage brandishing an axe. On Christmas 2026, Mahavatar is expected to hit theaters. "The tale of the immortal defender of dharma is vividly brought to life by Dinesh Vijan! In Amar Kaushik's #Mahavatar, Vicky Kaushal plays Chiranjeevi Parashurama. “Christmas 2026 is coming to theaters!” The post was captioned by Amar.
