Vemal's next titled Belladonna

The makers of Belladonna, a supernatural horror film directed by debutante Santhosh Babu Muthusamy, revealed on Friday that actor Vimal will next play the lead.

Belladonna is Vemal's first time starring in a horror film, even though it's his 35th film. The film will be released in sixteen languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. "Belladonna will offer the audience a fresh and unique cinematic theatrical experience," director Santhosh stated of the film. Even though it's a massive undertaking, everything has come out brilliantly. The casting is perfect for the story, and every department—from the editor and music director to the cameraman—has worked endless hours to make this vision a reality.

Earlier this year, Vemal starred in rookie Micheal K Raja's Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai, which Karunas costarred in, and Bose Venkat's social drama SIR, in which Chaya Devi Kannan played the female lead. The actor is now working on Desingu Raja 2 in addition to Belladonna. Belladonna's technical crew includes stunt director Danger Mani, editor Deepak LP, music director AC John Peter, art director V Suresh, and cinematographer A Vinod Bharathi. The film is produced by Sri Tejas of the Euphoria Flicks brand.
