Unni Mukundan's Marco confirms release date

Ahead of Christmas, Unni Mukundan's next action film, Marco, will be released in theaters on December 20, the producers said Tuesday. Additionally, they announced on social media that the movie's initial audio release is scheduled for November 22, 2024. It is a spin-off of Haneef Adeni's 2018 film Mikhael, which starred Nivin Pauly.

Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, Arjun Nandakumar, Durva Thaker, Yukti Tareja, Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Jagadish, and Riyaz Khan are among the ensemble cast members that appear alongside Unni in Marco. Technically speaking, the film has music by Ravi Basrur, who is best known for his work on the popular Kannada franchise KGF, editing by Shameer Muhammad, and cinematography by Chandru Selvaraj.

Nivin played the title role in Mikhael, and Unni played Marco Jr., the adversary. According to reports, the spin-off will explore Marco's past and follow his journey into the criminal underground. Previously, the filmmakers referred to Marco as the most violent movie ever made in Malayalam cinema. Under the auspices of Cubes Entertainments, in collaboration with Unni's in-house production firm, Unni Mukundan Films, Shareef Muhammad is supporting the movie. It will feature dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi in addition to Malayalam.
