Delays in the releasing of Anl Arasu's film Phoenix

Action choreographer Anl Arasu's directorial debut, Phoenix, was previously announced to be released on Thursday, November 14. But earlier today, Rajalakshmy Arasakumar's AK Braveman Pictures, the film's production banner, declared that the movie would open in theaters on a separate day. The producers said they will shortly announce a new release date and blamed the decision on certification cuts from the Censor Board. Meanwhile, they make references to changes that will "bring the best possible cinematic experience, with greater excitement and anticipation." According to a statement from the film's creators, "We promise Phoenix (Veezhan) will rise stronger than ever, and when it does, it will be with a bang."

Surya, the son of Vijay Sethupathi, has a major part in the movie. Harish Uthaman and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are also part of the Phoenix cast. According to the most current teaser for Phoenix, Surya is a professional boxer who is imprisoned for an unexplained reason. The teaser portrays him treating boxing as seriously as his life, but it also shows someone else organizing a break-in.

As a young artist, Surya starred in his father's movies Sindhubaadh and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Muthukumar, Sampath, Dileepan, Vignesh, Varsha Viswanath, Abi Nakshatra, Sathya NJ, 'Atti' Rishi, and Poovaiyar are also part of the Phoenix cast. The film's stunt choreographer is none other than Anl Arasu. Editor Praveen KL, cinematographer R Velraj, and music director Sam CS are all part of Phoenix's technical team.
