A preview of Kubera: The Dhanush-starring film looks to be a suspenseful, rags-to-riches story
After a four-year break, renowned director Sekhar Kammula is making a comeback with his upcoming film, Kubera. The Dhanush-starring film is being co-produced by Amigo Creation and Sri Venkateswara Cinemas.
Mumbai, the ominous setting for this high-stakes, multi-track thriller, is briefly introduced in the first scene of Kubera, along with its main players. Throughout the teaser, there are numerous dramatic images of the city at its most grungy and evocative. Most intriguingly, the video concludes with Dhanush standing in front of a temple in a very different appearance than the rest of the teaser, which depicts him as a destitute, down-in-the-dumps man wearing tattered clothing. This adds even more mystery to the plot.
In addition to having well-known performers like Jim Sarbh, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna in key parts, Kubera also has a talented technical crew, with Thota Tharani handling production design and Niketh Bommi handling cinematography. Furthermore, the editor is Karthika Srinivas. The film's music director, Devi Sri Prasad, collaborated with Sekhar Kammula for the first time.
Kubera will also be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada in addition to Telugu. A release date for Kubera has not yet been announced by the film's creators.
