Zaheer Khan to announce retirement today from international cricket
India fast bowler Zaheer Khan is all set to announce his retirement on Thursday, pulling the curtains down on an illustrious career spanning close to 15 years. Zaheer, who has played 200 one-day internationals, 92 Test matches and 17 T20Is, is rated among the best pacers India has ever produced.IPL chaiman Rajeev Shukla on Thursday morning confirmed about Zaheer's decision on Twitter. Shukla hoped the bowler continues to play the Indian Premier League. The 37-year-old pacer, who made his ODI debut with Yuvraj Singh way back in Kenya in 2000, has 282 wickets to his name. Zaheer made his Test debut against Bangladesh in Dhaka in the same year and has scalped 311 wickets.Zaheer last played for India in August 2014 against Sri Lanka in Pallekele.
