WWE Confirms John Cena is Not Injured, Original Plans for Sting at Night of Champions
After an injury scare during a match against Kevin Owens in Hampton, VA Friday night, a WWE spokesperson told the Washington Post that that “John [Cena] is fine” after Cena landed on his head as a result of a botched spot.
As noted, WWE has announced the Wyatt Family will face Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and a mystery partner in a 6 match tag match at WWE Night of Champions.
Originally, WWE’s plans were to have Sting team up with Reigns and Ambrose in the 6 man match, but the decision was later made to move Sting into the main event for the WWE World Title against Seth Rollins, reports F4WOnline.com.
As for Reigns and Ambrose’s tag team partner at Night of Champions, injured Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan has been teasing he might return in time for the PPV, and as noted yesterday, WWE accidentally posted a graphic on WWE.com which might spoil plans for the PPV.
