Upcoming Mobile : Sony Xperia C4
Xperia C4 is a completely revamped Xperia C3-(Rs. 23,999)
The last time when Sony tried its hand at making a selfie camera smartphone, it ended up with Xperia C3 in hand. While the Xperia C3 had a great front camera and a nice rear snapper too, it was the rest of the package that brought its hopes crashing down. It was a learning for Sony in the sense that its smartphone division is already facing a lot of pressure and it needs to bring that up to speed with the latest smartphone market trends. The Xperia C4 sure looks to be the successor to Xperia C3, but how many areas has Sony rectified with the Xperia C4 is what we are about to find out.
Specifications
The Sony Xperia C4 sports a 1.7GHz octa-core processor under its polycarbonate body, whose design has been inspired by the Xperia Z3, and it has been paired with 2GB RAM. The Xperia C4 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and also has the ability to run two SIM cards at once. One thing to mention here is that while the Xperia C4 dabbles in the high-end smartphone segment, it now sports 4G network capabilities and it should improve the smartphone's chances of doing better in India. The Sony Xperia C4 comes with a screen measuring 5.5 inches across and it puts out display resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The Xperia C4 comes with 16GB internal storage capacity and it can be expanded further up to 128GB with the use of a microSD card. The Sony Xperia C4 sports a 13-megapixel camera on its back and it has been paired with a 5-megapixel unit that handles duties on the front and also comes with a an LED flash. A 2600mAh capacity battery powers the Xperia C4 and while no performance ratings are available for the same, we think it should be able to sustain 10 hours of usage on a single full charge.
Verdict
Back in 2014 when Sony launched the Xperia C3, it gave the smartphone great cameras but the rest of phone suffered as it sported specs more befitting on a mid-range segment smartphone. In 2015, with the Xperia C4, Sony has got it all in place. The design is inspired by Sony's flagship, the specs have got the necessary bump and a 64-bit processor has found its way on the Xperia C4 and there is NFC too. South of an Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia C4 is the best Sony makes.
