Virat Kohli flouts rules again after being seen with Anushka Sharma
It seems Virat Kohli is becoming a law unto himself. If his exchange of words with umpire Kumar Dharmasena during Royal Challengers Bangalore's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night was not enough, he again broke the players' protocol during the tie against Delhi Daredevils on Sunday.
Moments after rain interrupted play and the covers were drawn, the batsmen at the crease, Kohli and Chris Gayle, walked back to the pavilion. Within minutes, Kohli was seen in the corridor right next to the VIP box where his girlfriend, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, was seated.
Technically, a match is alive till the last ball is bowled and a rain stoppage doesn't give players the liberty to leave their designated area and mingle with people.
Kohli then went up to Anushka much to the amusement of the public. Soon the duo was on the giant screen at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and the host broadcaster too cashed in on the visual treat to relay it to households everywhere.
Citing it as a clear violation of the Anti Corruption Security protocol, a senior officer of the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) told HT that it is unbecoming of a captain to do this while the match is technically on, never mind if it's a rain stoppage.
