How To Make ALOO DUM :
Which is the very popular dish in country nepal. It can eat this dish with poori or naan etc. . Enjoy it with rice or dhaal. It very delicious and very easy to cook. Let's see the ingredients for the dish.
INGREDIENTS:
1) Green Peas - 1/2 Cup
2) Green Chillies - 3-4 pcs (chopped)
3) Cooking oil - 4 tsp
4) Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tsp
5) 1 Onion - 1 (chopped)
6) Dry Anchovices - 1/4 cup
7) Turmeric - 1 tsp
8) Ginger and Garlic paste - 3 tsp
9) Chilli powder - 1 tsp
10) Jeera powder - 1 tsp
11) Salt to taste.
12) Tomato - 1/2 (chopped)
13) Boiled Potates - 650g (peeled and cut into bit size).
14) cashewnut.
15)Yogurt.
16) Garam Masala.
17) Coriander powder.
Method:
1 | Boil potatoes untill half cooked. Let it cool. |
2 | Peel it. Prick potatoes with a fork. Deep fry until potatoes are golden brown. |
3 | Heat 2 teasppon oil in separate utensil. Add methi. Add onion when methi turns dark. Cook onions until light brown. |
4 | Add cashewnut and yogurt. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and turmeric powder.Stir for a few seconds. |
5 | Add tomato and cook on a medium heat for few minutes. Add salt. |
6 | Add 1.5 cups of water. Bring sauce to boil. |
7 | Add fried potatoes. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes on low heat. |
8 | Serve hot. |
