Kochadiiyaan's unique promotions strategy
Superstar's Kochadiiyaan which is undoubtedly the most expected film of the year has been confirmed to release worldwide on 11th of April in 6,000 screens, which is a remarkable number. The team headed by Soundharya Ashwin Rajnikanth, the director of the film and younger daughter of Supestar Rajnikanth is planning market the film in every possible ways, to generate superlative buzz for this mammoth venture.
The latest we hear is that a deal has been signed with Karbonn mobiles to promote Kochadiiyaan. As per the deal all the 27,000 Karbonn outlets will have Kochadiiyaan special edition mobile phones. 10 lakh mobiles will be launched for this. Apart from this, all the 27,000 showrooms will be decorated with Kochadiiyaan special merchandise that will include Kochadiiyaan masks, posters etc in order to attract crores of Superstar fans spread across the four states.
The entrepreneurs of Karbonn mobiles are expected to issue a three page advertisement for Kochadiiyaan special edition mobiles in all the leading newspapers published in South India . Plans are also on for a FM promotional program that of 60,000 seconds and Television promotions for 6,000 seconds duration.
It is to be noted that Kochadiiyaan is probably the first Indian film to sign such a mammoth deal with a Mobile sales company that will release a special edition mobile phone solely to promote the film. Previously, Hollywood film, The Dark Knight Risers had a special edition of Nokia Lumia series released in the name of the Christopher Nolan directed film.
